expansion blues
The mall manager which previously bumped off our application for cart space must be pissed off. We negotiated for a slot at the parking area and got a lease contract from the parking lessor. On first day of our operation we got kicked off by the mall technically, saying the parking lessor does not have permit from them to allow food cart tenant at their parking lot. So we packed up. But not without meeting the mall manager and passing the problem to him with our cart. Cornered, he allowed us to place our cart inside the mall subject to space availability and installation of a smoke filter. Few days later we came back, cart inside the mall with smoke filter installed and on stand by. Plan A, which was placing the cart outside with more foot traffic was disapproved, but plan B which is having the cart inside the mall was achieved. Now the pressure is on the mall manager looking for new space for us. They say if there's a will, there's a way, no matter how.
